RECOGNITION

At twenty, I would change the world....

It seemed the thing to do....

But circumstances intervened....

To change my youthful view....

At thirty, thinking it was time....

To right the USA....

I found some obligations to....

My spouse got in the way....

At forty, there were things to do....

Since it was getting late....

But time ran out before I filed....

My plan to save the State....

But now I’ve got my head on straight....

It means a lot, you know....

And I’ll be recognized, at last....

If these tomatoes grow....
