That double take at Crady Lake is one your won't forget...

And no one down in Yulee town considered such a threat...

So wide awake, that placid lake, one peaceful day became...

An eerie scene beyond a dream and gathered instant fame...

A day of fun had just begun when someone raised a cry...

Beyond the fog, a floating log had captured every eye...

The pace was slow, against the flow, it moved against the tide...

The thing was large, though not a barge, but big enough to ride...

We watched in awe as what we saw moved slowly into view...

We felt a dread--- because the head--- was staring at us, too...

A gator? No... and even though it had a moving tail...

The thing was weird; I really feared and felt myself grow pale

It moved around without a sound except a distant whine...

And what was this? A heavy hiss, sent shivers up my spine...

No one could tell what living hell was just about to start...

With fear inside I could not hide the beating of my heart...

But then I took a closer look, my head began to ache...

A poor design then told my mind---the monster was a fake!...

I felt relief from early grief and started to unwind...

And it was then a raging wind caused chaos in my mind...

Enormous force then changed the course; It rose into the sky...

And I, at once, became the dunce. Who knew that thing could fly!...

A sudden start that blew apart the monster---on that lake...

With sudden glee, it dawned on me to do a double take...

Some water jets with force that gets the Flyboard in the air...

A silly grin from deep within--- a grandson with a flair...

Each scene you see brings memory, as years go by and yet...

That double take at Crady Lake is one you won't forget...
