They seem to be invisible....

I don’t see what they gain....

But when they’re done and gone away....

They leave behind a pain....

The female of the species is....

Responsible, they say....

‘Tis she who causes trouble, while....

The male stays far away....

Yet not much blood is needed....

Such a miniscule amount....

There’s no way that her needle could....

Diminish my account....

So, now I’ll make a treaty with....

Mosquitoes, when they light....

I’ll gladly give my blood, if she....

Will keep her poisoned bite....
